David Applebaum is currently Professor of Probability and Statistics and Head of the Department of Probability and Statistics at the University of Sheffield, UK. He has wide-ranging interests in the theory of probability and its applications and is the author of over 55 published research papers and 2 books. His current research interests are Levy processes and infinite divisibility, stochastic analysis, stochastic ordinary and partial differential equations and their applications and probability theory on Lie groups. Professor Applebaum is a member of the editorial boards of Bernoulli, Methodology and Computing in Applied Probability, Communications on Stochastic Analysis and the Tbilisi Mathematical Journal.
