James L. Kepner, Ph.D., is an Adjunct Professor of Biostatistics in the Department of Biostatistics in the Emory University School of Public Health. Dr. Kepner is widely known as an expert in nonparametric statistical methods, the derivation of exact group sequential designs, and the analysis of small sample datasets with or without repeated measures. Dr. Kepner is currently Vice President of the Statistics and Evaluation Center (SEC) at the American Cancer Society’s National Home Office (NHO) in Atlanta, GA. In this capacity, Dr. Kepner coordinates the SEC’s consultative role within the NHO and works with the ACS Integrated Evaluation Advisory Group, which is integrally involved with the evaluation of all ACS functions and programs, both local and at the Division level. Before joining the ACS, Dr. Kepner was Chair of Biostatistics and Director of the Biostatistics Core Resource at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute and Professor of Biostatistics at the University at Buffalo New York.
