An international journal on computational intelligence techniques, methods and applications
ISSN (print): 1875-6891/ ISSN (on-line): 1875-6883

The International Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems (IJCIS) publishes research papers in the field of computational intelligence, especially targeting articles demonstrating the use of techniques and methods originating from computational intelligence research and theory.

The International Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems (IJCIS) is a world-reknown journal covering state-of-the-art research and development in all aspects of applied computational intelligence. IJCIS is indexed in SCI, DOAJ, EI/Compendex and Scopus.

-------------------------------------- Important notes ------------------------------------------

IJCIS is now a full Open Access Journal, with ALL papers in OA.

Atlantis Press, the publisher of IJCIS, strongly believes in Open Access as the way forward in scientific communication. As a consequence, IJCIS has become an Open Access (OA) journal: all accepted papers are available for free to anyone. You can see them at the Atlantis Press website (http://www.atlantis-press.com/publications/ijcis/).

Note that this change affects in no way the reviewing procedure which will remain exactly the same as always, if not more severe. The only difference will be that once your paper is accepted by the editor-in-chief, we will ask you to pay an Article Processing fee of 350 Euro before the paper gets published in IJCIS. Once we have received the payment, your paper will immediately be published as an OA paper, freely available to anyone, giving your paper the best possible visibility and impact.

Please note that starting with volume 10 papers will be published as they come in ('rolling publication'), they will not be put on hold for an issue to be complete. For you as an author this means much faster publication of your paper, no waiting time or 'articles in press'. Note that we are now close to an average of only 4 months elapsed between submission and publication of a paper.

Also, all papers will be published in one issue only, to be closed at the end of the year.

Indexing information
The current Impact factor of IJCIS for 2016 is 1,14, which is a major jump compared to 2015.

As for Scopus Citescore, IJCIS is now at 1,57 and positioned in the top 25% of Computer Science journals.

These results reflect our policy of more rigorous reviewing which was put in place since 2015. We intend to continue this policy and make IJCIS one of the top-journals in the field of information sciences and computer science.

As of June 2017 IJCIS is included in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) .

ACIS bookseries
Atlantis Press has established a book series in the field of computational intelligence: Atlantis Computational Intelligence Systems. All books in this series are co-published with Amsterdam University Press. Should you consider the publication of a short state-of-the-art-book or a longer research book, then do not hesitate to send your proposal to the editors.

IJCIS is the official publication of the European Society for Fuzzy Logic and Technologies (EUSFLAT).
