Proceedings of the 45th International Philological Conference (IPC 2016)

The International Philological Conference has been held at St. Petersburg State University annually over the period of 45 years, which makes it one of the most significant events for Russian philology.

In accordance with the established tradition, the conference unites various academic research themes, from general linguistics and literary theory to computational linguistics and testology. In 2016, the conference will include 44 sections; there will be a full programme of parallel sessions, roundtable discussions, as well as sessions within Andreev Readings, Derzhavin Readings and French Readings.

An important principle of the conference is its openness. In 2015, almost 700 people from more than 70 Russian and foreign universities, colleges and research organizations presented their papers at parallel and plenary sessions. Among presenters at the conference you will find researchers from various regions of Russia, countries of the former Soviet Union and other foreign countries. The conference, for instance, gives a comprehensive picture of practically all aspects of St. Petersburg philological life.
