Website: https://www.icorte.com/event/icort2023 Welcome to the 2nd International Conference on Railway and Transportation 2023. I am Yuwono Wiarco, the director of Indonesian Railway Polytechnic. As the chair of the committee, I will not be able to stand here in front of you, without the wonderful committee members in the organizing committee who have been with me from the very beginning. We envisage three key values as the foundation in which we put our effort and hard work in order to make this conference happen: rigorous, impactful, and prestigious. These essential ideals are achieved through various components of the conference. We have ensured the accuracy of the acceptance abstracts through double-blind peer reviewers and clear criteria. These have filtered 65 to 49 papers that have been subsequently selected by the outstanding reviewers. The selection process makes theconference the best forum to discuss various topics in railway and transportation field. All accepted papers at ICORT 2023 will be published in Atlantis Press. Moreover, we deliver our best through the committee who takes the participants’ best interests at heart; takes care of the participants throughout the conference; as well as appreciates and recognizes outstanding papers by awarding the best paper. This conference is the result of the hard work, support, and dedication of a number of parties. We thank all the committee members who have made the conference possible. They have worked throughout the year to propose sessions, review a number of submissions, answer queries, arrange schedules, and response to last-minute requests. We also thank Badan Pengembang SDM Perhubungan, Politeknik Penerbangan Makasar, Politeknik Penerbangan Palembang, PT. Industri Kereta Api (INKA), Intelligent Transport System, Chiba University Japan, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, and China Railway Design Corporation for their contribution to ICORT 2023.
