- Abstract
This challenge is known as the load balancing problem in cloud computing. It is an optimization issue aimed at minimizing the response time and waiting time of multiple tasks requested by various clients, which are processed using a set of resources with limited computing and storage capacities. The objective of this study is to apply a genetic algorithm to address the load balancing problem for virtual machines in a cloud computing environment. Additionally, we simulated both the classical genetic algorithm and the proposed genetic algorithm using the CloudSim cloud simulator. The results obtained demonstrate that the proposed genetic algorithm effectively minimizes response time and waiting time.
