Abstract

Farmers’ livelihoods and agricultural techniques are perilous due to ongoing global climate change. It is anticipated that climate change would significantly affect farmers and increase the risks they confront. Farmers’ efforts to reduce the risk of climate change through adaptation measures are inextricably linked to the resources that support their livelihoods. The purpose of this study is to assess the state of livelihood assets held by rice farmers in Turen District and examine the impact of livelihood assets on the strategies used by farmers to adapt to climate change. Logistic regression is the analysis method utilized to determine how LVI affects the adaption methods of rice producers. Financial assets fall into the very bad category, while physical assets fall into the terrible category, according to the study’s findings. Out of the five assets owned, these are the financial ones. However, the good category includes the other three assets, which are social, natural, and human resources. Farmers’ tactics for adapting to climate change are significantly influenced by their livelihood assets. Whereas social, financial, physical, and human resources all significantly improve climate change tactics. On the other hand, climate change initiatives are negatively impacted by natural assets.
