Abstract

Patient satisfaction is the most important factor for healthcare institutions to ensure sustainability and growth. One way to improve service quality is by understanding and meeting patient needs, as patient expectations serve as a foundation for enhancing healthcare services. This study aimed to determine the relationship between service quality and repeat visit interest among patients of the Nutrition Polyclinic at Kendari City Regional General Hospital. This research employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The study sample consisted of 193 respondents, selected through a systematic random sampling method. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate techniques. The results showed significant relationships between repeat visit interest and the following service quality dimensions: Physical Evidence/Tangible (p = 0.000), Reliability (p = 0.001), Responsiveness (p = 0.004), Assurance (p = 0.001), and Empathy (p = 0.001). These findings indicate that service quality, across all five dimensions, significantly influences patients’ interest in making repeat visits. In conclusion, there is a strong relationship between service quality and repeat visit interest among Nutrition Polyclinic patients at Kendari City Regional General Hospital.
