This research is about the influence of the use of Cooperative Learning model through Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) method towards the improvement of students' critical thinking. The problem in this research is the low of students' critical thinking about the subject of economics class eleven IPS program in one of the high schools in Sukabumi City The research method used is quasi experiment with research design The Non-Equivalent Pre-test - Post-Test Control Group Design. Based on the normality test, homogenies, and t-test from the pretest posttest data understanding of the learners' concept of the experimental class and the control class. The use of a cooperative learning model of STAD method is expected to improve students' critical thinking about economic subjects, especially on the subject of national income.
