- Abstract
In the fast-changing digital age, artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping the algorithms of information generation and information retention. It is revolutionizing every sphere of a sophisticated knowledge economy, enabling the targeted dissemination of information for research and development purposes. Libraries, as long-standing gateways to knowledge, are rapidly adopting AI technologies to fulfil the needs for efficiency, personalization, and improved user experiences. The purpose of this study is to present a holistic view on the integration of AI in the field of library and information science, bypassing traditional challenges. It aims to investigate the conceptual foundations of AI in modern libraries, assess its role in modernizing library services, and identify critical areas where AI may be effectively deployed. The study also underlines the problems associated with the use of AI technology in library settings. This research examines advancements such as expert systems, natural language processing, robotics, and intelligent automation to critically analyses both the transformational potential and the limitations of artificial intelligence. This extensive investigation offers valuable insights into the evolving relationship between artificial intelligence and the future of library services.
