Abstract
The article highlights the main trends of development of world trade and substantiates the need to implement a new international trade policy that will ensure the achievement of sustainable economic growth by developing countries, reducing social inequality and greater efficiency of globalization processes all over the world. Such policy is neo-protectionism, based on a combination of the principles of free trade and protectionism, whose ratio is determined by the stage of economic development of the country.
