- The Chinese villagers lay great emphasis on face earned from exceeding consumption on renqing, with the expectation of receiving respects and fames. This study empirically tests the relationship between face and consumptions of renqing and reveals various effects. This study makes up the research gap in the consumption behavior in Chinese rural society.
