Development of Fantasy Bun and Makeup Learning Module to Enhance the Creativity of Cosmetology Education Students at Universitas Negeri Medan

- Abstract
This development research aims to produce the Cosmetology and Fantasy Buns Learning Module and increase student creativity. The urgency of this research is based on the need for teaching materials that are systematic and able to stimulate high-level cognitive abilities, especially creativity which is the core competency of makeup and fantasy buns. This researcher is a research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. The subject of the study is a student of the Cosmetology Education Study Program, State University of Medan. Data collection techniques with non-test techniques (interviews, documentation, questionnaires) and test techniques (descriptive tests to assess creative thinking skills (cognitive) and creativity observation rubrics to assess practical creativity (psychomotor) assessed before and after the application of modules (pretest and posttest). The dimensions of creativity assessed are Fluency, Flexibility, Originality and elaboration. Data was analyzed using paired t-tests. The results of the study showed that the results of the material validity test were 90.85% (Excellent) and the media validity was 91.3425% (Excellent). User feasibility test with an average score of 89.606% (Excellent). The effectiveness of the learning module to increase student creativity in the cognitive aspect is at level 2 or the “creative” category with an increase in scores from pretest to posttest with a score of 16.5. Meanwhile, the psychomotor aspect is at level 2 or the “creative” category with an increase in scores from pretest to post with a score of 36.05. It can be concluded that the application of the Cosmetology and Fantasy Buns learning modules is effective in increasing the creativity of both cognitive and psychomotor aspects of students of the Cosmetology Education Study Program, State University of Medan in the Fantasy and Cosmetology Buns course.
