Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of different information framing strategy on attitudes toward the organization change programs. The sample of this study was 358 middle managers. Furthermore, the instrument applied in this study was change attitude scale developed by Oreg. The information framing variable was not measured but manipulated through vignette. The data obtained used multiple regression analysis by ‘dummy coding’ on the independent variable. The result indicated that there is an effect of distinct information framing strategy on attitudes. The strategy of positive action framing has a positive effect and theframing strategy of negative attribute causes a negative one on attitudes toward the organizational change programs.
