Abstract

One new monoterpenoid, 5-aldehyde-6'-O-sinapoyljasminoside A (1), together with two known compounds 6'-O-sinapoyljasminoside B(2) and 6'-O-trans-sinapoyljasminoside L(3), were isolated from the fruits of Gardenia jasminoides Ellis. The structures of the new monoterpenoid compound were elucidated by means of chemical evidence and 1D-and 2D-NMR (1H, 13C, HSQC, HMBC, 1H-1H COSY and NOESY) spectroscopic analysis and HR-ESI-MS.
