The conference brought together scholars, researchers, and practitioners from academia and industry to exchange insights and advance discussions at the intersection of digital economy and management science. With a total of 149 submissions received from multiple countries and regions, 61 high-quality papers were accepted after a rigorous peer-review process, and more than 100 participants attended the event, reflecting the growing global interest in this rapidly evolving field. CDEMS 2026 featured a distinguished lineup of keynote speakers who provided valuable perspectives on contemporary challenges and emerging trends. Prof. Hao Huang (University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China) delivered an insightful speech on "Industrial Convergence and the Development of the Digital Economy," highlighting the transformative role of cross-sector integration. Prof. Hui An (Dalian University of Technology, China) explored the relationship between enterprise digital innovation and labor market dynamics in "Research on the Mechanism of Enterprise Digital Technology Innovation Influencing Labor Skill Premium." Prof. Peter Shi (Macquarie University, Australia) examined the shifting paradigm of global resource competition in "From Cost Competition to Strategic Competition: The New Game of Global Critical Minerals Supply Chains." In addition, Prof. Lin Liu (Beihang University, China) presented a timely analysis of digital commerce dynamics in "Bargaining with Online Celebrity in Live Streaming Commerce." Complemented by invited talks and oral presentation sessions, these contributions collectively enriched the conference by fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, encouraging critical reflection, and bridging theoretical research with practical applications.
The conference covered a broad and integrated range of topics within digital economy and management science. Discussions encompassed advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning for economic analysis, big data-driven decision-making, blockchain technologies and digital transactions, and the evolving landscape of digital currency and financial technology. In parallel, significant attention was devoted to management-oriented themes, including strategic management, supply chain and logistics optimization, enterprise innovation, and the application of information and communication technologies in organizational contexts. Emerging issues such as data governance, cybersecurity, ethical considerations in the digital age, and smart city development further highlighted the multidimensional nature of the field.
