Abstract

The unique image of the Dunhuang Flying Apsaras, characterized by flying figures with elegant and light bodies, enjoys public popularity. With the development of digitization, the image of the Flying Apsaras has gradually transformed from the traditional native to digital regeneration and the elements of Flying Apsaras have been widely applied in digital design, forming the “Flying Apsaras” of the new era. Digital design has also become a way to communicate the art of Dunhuang Flying Apsaras, which also boasts new development both now and in the future. Therefore, this paper briefly analyzes the artistic characteristics of Dunhuang Flying Apsaras, discusses the digital design interventions with the reorganization and regeneration of Dunhuang Flying Apsaras elements, and concludes with feasible suggestions and reflections for the development of Dunhuang Flying Apsaras regeneration.
