Abstract

The issue under consideration is an increase in the efficiency of the coal mining industry due to implementation of "lean production" principles. The proposed solutions will reduce the level of consumption of resources, increase productivity, ensure competitive advantage and, consequently, the viability of enterprises. However, achieving of these results will require cardinal changes in the fundamental principles of the design, construction and management in coal mining.
