Abstract

Under the background of global industrial chain restructuring, the application of digital technology is key to enhancing the resilience of manufacturing enterprises. This study explores the impact of different types of digital technology applications on the resilience of China’s manufacturing enterprises. Using data from 922 China A-share listed manufacturing companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2011 to 2023 as samples, and taking the “chip crisis” as the baseline event, the study quantitatively analyzes corporate resilience from both long-term and short-term perspectives. Through empirical research using big data text analysis, it is found that both basic and front-end digital technology applications significantly promote both long-term and short-term corporate resilience.
