Abstract

The ecological factors of Linyi City were extracted, using remote sensing and DEM data, and normalized to generate quality evaluation maps of natural ecological environment based on an integrated index method. The results show that the excellent, good, medium and poor classes of Linyi City's natural ecological environment account for 10.3%, 46.6%, 19.1% and 24.0% respectively. The overall natural ecological environment quality of Linyi City is at medium level, and it’s necessary to improve and protect the ecological environment. Corresponding suggestions of improvement and governance were given for ecological issues that existed in Linyi City.
