- Abstract
This study adopts an international comparative research methodology and selects three countries with different cultural backgrounds and characteristics of preschool education systems--China, New Zealand and Japan--as the objects of the study, so as to systematically sort out and deeply compare the differences and similarities in their preschool education process quality assessment indicator systems. The study focuses on the concepts of the assessment frameworks, assessment dimensions, specific observation indicators, assessment tools and methods. It is found that China, New Zealand and Japan share commonalities in the concepts, dimensions and methods of process quality assessment, while there are some differences in the structure of the indicators, the focus of the assessment methods and the use of the assessment results. The purpose of this study is to provide reference and reference for the improvement of the quality assessment system of preschool education. Meanwhile, remote a deeper understanding of the connotation of process quality, and to put forward thoughts and suggestions for the construction of a more scientific and localised process quality assessment system of preschool education.
