Abstract

The advent of technology has sparked a revolution in many sectors, including education. The emergence of new teaching strategies and approaches, such as E-learning, has led to a rapid evolution of educational practices. In the same context, artificial intelligence opens up new possibilities by adapting content to individual needs and enhancing student engagement. This article explores the integration of E-learning and AI technologies into medical curricula, examining the opportunities they present, as well as the challenges and ethical considerations associated with their implementation. A non-exhaustive systematic review was conducted to analyze current trends and insights regarding E-learning and AI in medical education. The findings highlight that these technologies had the potential to provide adaptive learning experiences, offer instant feedback, aid in the development of medical curricula, automate teachers’ routine tasks, deliver accurate and fair assessments, and assist students in their research. However, integrating these technologies also presents significant challenges that must be critically examined and addressed to maximize their effectiveness in medical education. This article concludes with recommendations on incorporating E-learning and AI into medical curricula to foster both technical skills and critical thinking in future healthcare professionals.
