Abstract

In order to research the effect of temperature and pH on the short-cut nitrification, using simulation sewage water as test water , research the material changes in the SBR reactor by change the temperature and pH. The result show that the short-cut nitrification still can proceed when the temperature is at 18°C.And the average removal rate of ammonia nitrogen and the average accumulation rate of nitrite nitrogen are 80% and 66%, respectively. It indicates that low temperature make a big influence on nitrite bacteria .When the pH in the range of 7.7 to 8.5, it will suit for growth of nitrite bacteria and inhibit the activity of the nitrate bacteria while can achieve the maximum accumulation of nitrite nitrogen.
