Abstract

The development of information technologies provides an opportunity for banks to introduce a new category of customers to the financial market that are the persons with disabilities. The emergence of innovative remote banking services allows creating their barrier-free entrance to the market. Despite the increased attention given by the Bank of Russia to ensuring the financial accessibility for the new category of the customers, there are a number of challenges at the domestic market. The challenges can be addressed through the widespread application of biometric technologies.
