Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) is significantly reshaping content production, distribution, and consumption in the field of information dissemination. Despite the benefits of AI in improving communication and personalizing content, it brings ethical challenges, including job shifts, data breaches, information manipulation, and public opinion polarization, which endanger the health of the information ecosystem. This paper explores the ethical dilemmas brought about by AI in the field of information dissemination and propose countermeasures for promoting its healthy applications. By reviewing recent domestic and international research on the ethical issues of AI in information dissemination, it highlights the ethical challenges associated with key aspects such as content generation, information recommendation, and data usage. The results demonstrate that although AI improves the efficiency of information dissemination, it also brings about challenges such as content falsification, algorithmic bias, privacy breaches, and deepfakes, emphasizing the tension between technological progress and ethical principles. To tackle these challenges, it is recommended to investigate legal oversight, industry self-regulation, and technological advancements to establish a transparent, fair, and responsible AI governance framework for the sustainable development of AI in information dissemination.
