The 2022 2nd International Conference on Financial Management and Economic Transition (FMET 2022) was successfully held on August 19–21, 2022, in Hulunbuir, China. FMET 2022 encouraged the exchange of information at the forefront of research in different fields, connected the most advanced academic resources in China and the world, transformed research results into industrial solutions, and brought together talent, technology, and capital to drive development.

In the conference, we had the honor of having invited both Prof. Satya Narayan Singh from HIPDET University, USA, and Assoc. Prof. Juann Hung from Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, China, to serve as our Conference General Chairs. This offline conference was composed of three parts: keynote speeches, oral presentations, and online Q&A discussion, attracting 150 individuals and groups in the world. Firstly, keynote speakers were each allocated 30–45 min to hold their speeches. Then in the next part, oral presentations, the excellent papers we had selected were presented by their authors one by one.

At the beginning of the conference, three distinguished keynote speakers were invited to address their speeches. For a start, Assoc. Prof. Vilas Gaikar from University of Mumbai, India, performed a speech on the title Economics of Global Poverty: An Analysis of Post Pandemic Period. He showed that global poverty is one of the most serious issues facing the world and highlighted that it needs to be addressed by initiating various measures and the effect of pandemic in the future also needs to be reduced, which could only be possible by the joint initiatives by developed as well as developing nations in the world. In addition, Assoc. Prof. Au Yong Hui Nee from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia, made a report on Unlocking the Potential of the Digital Age: Bridging the Digital Divide amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. This research demonstrated that developing a sound digital transformation strategy, with the appropriate structure and governance, stays a challenge for many firms. The study then presented an analysis of the role of digitalization a factor in economic development and investigated the drivers and barriers to digital economy. Their dramatic speeches had triggered heated discussion in the third part of the conference. Besides, every participant praised this conference for disseminating useful and insightful knowledge.

After months of hard work and preparation, we have selected and compiled a bunch of high-quality papers into the proceedings after rigorously reviewing them. These papers feature but are not limited to the following topics: financial management, time value of funds, demand structure, urban and rural structure, etc. All the papers have been checked through rigorous review and processes to meet the requirements of publication.

We would like to acknowledge all of those who supported FMET 2022. Especially, our thanks go to the Advances in Economics, Business, and Management Research, for the endeavor of all its colleagues in publishing this paper volume. The help and contribution of each individual and institution were instrumental in the success of the conference, and with the strong support, we firmly believe that FMET 2022 has been beneficial to all attendees.
