Abstract

A disease that attracts world’s attention and results the high mortality rate is cervical cancer. Lack of motivation is also caused by the ability of health workers to deliver and provide information early prevention of cervical cancer is not evenly distributed and properly socialized in addition to the social and economic factors, people with low socioeconomic, lazy to conduct investigation into the health service. Objectives: The purpose of this research was to determine factors affecting women’s motivation to perform a cervical cancer screening test. Methods: This research was conducted using cross sectional. Collection of data on cross-sectional design using a questionnaire. Results: The most dominant factor affecting motivation was financial factor. Conclusion: It is recommended to increase women’s motivation to perform a cervical cancer screening by developing a program and strategy suitable to women’s capacities and needs.
