Abstract

The Secret Garden is a classic work by American authoress Frances Hodgson Burnett. This paper mainly probes into the three necessary elements of the novel: characters, plot and environment, hoping to reveal the special writing techniques employed by Burnett and provide a new perspective and interpretation for the study of The Secret Garden.
