Website: https://icai3s.upnyk.ac.id/ On behalf of the Organizing Committee for the 2023 1st International Conference on Advanced Informatics and Intelligent Information Systems (ICAI3S 2023), I express our gratitude to all participants for your contribution to the first edition of ICAI3S, which took place in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, from November 29 to 30, 2023. It is our distinct pleasure to unite researchers, scientists, and practitioners worldwide, fostering the exchange of cutting-edge research outcomes and experiences in advanced informatics and intelligent information systems. The first edition of ICAI3S revolves around the theme “Leveraging Intelligent Information Systems and Advanced Informatics in Empowering Society 5.0.” ICAI3S 2023 presents three exceptional plenary talks, unveiling recent breakthroughs in Society 5.0- related domains such as biometrics, computer vision & pattern recognition, image processing, intelligent robotics, industrial computing, and autonomous systems. The topics discussed align with endeavors to empower Society 5.0. This year, we have received a substantial number of research papers from global scholars. Following a meticulous review process, we are delighted to selectively embrace 25 papers, achieving an acceptance rate of 71%. The conference program is meticulously designed, featuring five parallel sessions. We aspire that the parallel sessions of ICAI3S 2023 will inspire researchers to exchange ideas on the theory and application of Advanced Informatics and Intelligent Information Systems, contributing to the development of Society 5.0 at local, regional, and global levels. In conclusion, my sincere appreciation extends to all organizing committee members, keynote speakers, and reviewers, for their unwavering dedication, without which orchestrating such a triumphant conference would have been unattainable. Last but not mean least, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Atlantis Press for the collaborative efforts of its team in bringing this paper volume to publication.
