Abstract

Using the Laurent method, the GMSK signal can be expressed as the sum of a series of pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) signals. The GMSK signal suboptimal coherent detection technology based on Laurent decomposition is improved. Under different phase correlation lengths, the BER performance and implementation complexity of GMSK signal optimization, suboptimization and improved coherent detection algorithms are simulated. The results show that compared with the suboptimal detection algorithm, the proposed algorithm improves the demodulation error performance without increasing the complexity of the demodulation module.
