The 2023 3rd International Conference on Economic Development and Business Culture (ICEDBC 2023) was held via hybrid form in Dali, China, from June 30 to July 2, 2023. Previous conferences in the past two years of this series were successfully held, and it was agreed to hold the conference once a year, with the aim to establish and develop a constant international collaboration.

In recent years, interest in economic development and business culture has been flourishing all over the globe because of both theoretical and practical requirements. Considering the trend, the third conference was organized in order to provide a forum for developing research cooperation and promote activities in the field of economic development and business culture.

Because solutions to the problems of economic development and business culture are needed in various applied fields, we had about 120 participants at the third conference and arranged various speeches and presentations which covered a wide range of topics related to the conference theme. Many researchers all over the world have contributed to the emerging applications and technology of economic development and business culture. Prof. John Rogers from Fudan University, China, addressed a keynote speech on U.S. Monetary Policy and De-dollarization of the International Financial System. Many central banks around the world follow the lead of the U.S. Federal Reserve in setting monetary policy. A second, more predominant feature of the international financial landscape is the widespread use of the U.S. dollar. In this speech, he documented the evidence on these two observations and discussed why they are closely linked. He then provided thoughts on prospects for internationalization of the Chinese yuan and an associated “de-dollarization” of global finance. And he finished by arguing that a multipolar currency world would be a less brittle world, one in which countries could conduct monetary policy for purely domestic purposes and not necessarily in sync with the Federal Reserve.

ICEDBC 2023 has been endorsed by many international and national economic and business organizations and publishers. The topics of papers collected and undergone peer-review in the proceedings of ICEDBC 2023 are classified as follows: Budget Deficits & Public Debt, Aggregate Demand & Supply, Business Administration, Corporate Communications, Emerging Markets, etc.
