Abstract

With the rapid development of blockchain technology, the security of cryptocurrency wallets has attracted increasing attention. This study systematically evaluates the entropy distribution characteristics and security differences of mnemonic phrases across different cryptocurrency platforms through statistical analysis methods. Using stratified random sampling, 10,000 mnemonic phrase samples were collected from five major platforms: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Solana, and Cardano. Multiple statistical methods including descriptive statistical analysis, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), and non-parametric tests were employed for comprehensive analysis. Results demonstrate significant differences in mnemonic entropy values across platforms (F = 847.3, p < 0.001, η2 = 0.254), with Bitcoin platform performing optimally (124.3 ± 3.2 bits), approaching the theoretical optimal value of 128 bits, while Solana platform exhibited the greatest variability (117.2 ± 7.1 bits). Tukey HSD multiple comparisons con- firmed significant inter-platform differences. This research provides quantitative methods for evaluating the security of blockchain wallet encryption algorithms and holds significant implications for enhancing digital asset security.
