- Abstract
This study investigates the influence of information quality (IQ) dimensions in dashboard visualization on the accuracy of procurement decision-making within state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in Indonesia. Specifically, it examines four critical IQ dimensions: simplicity of format, ease of operation, data completeness, and data accuracy. These dimensions are hypothesized to have a significant effect on the quality of decisions made by procurement professionals. Employing a quantitative experimental design, the study involved 60 participants who were tasked with making procurement-related decisions using a company dashboard interface. Data collected from these experiments were analyzed through linear regression techniques to determine the strength and nature of the relationships between the IQ dimensions and decision accuracy. The results reveal that each IQ dimension contributes variably to the accuracy of procurement decisions, highlighting the nuanced role those different aspects of information quality play in decision-making processes. However, the model’s explanatory power regarding decision quality variance is relatively limited, suggesting that additional factors beyond the examined IQ dimensions also impact procurement decision accuracy. This finding underscores the complexity of decision-making in organizational contexts and points to the need for further research exploring other organizational and contextual variables. Based on these insights, the study provides practical recommendations for optimizing dashboard visualization design to enhance decision-making effectiveness in complex organizational environments. Moreover, it proposes the investigation of other organizational factors that may influence procurement decision accuracy, thereby contributing to a more comprehensive understanding of how to support high-quality decisions in SOEs.
