- Abstract
The intention to pursue entrepreneurship is a key prerequisite for individuals aiming to start new businesses, with current college students regarded as future entrepreneurs. Enhancing students’ entrepreneurial motivation has become a prominent research focus recently. This study explores the relationship between early innovative behaviors and later entrepreneurial aspirations within a social psychology framework. Data from a Chinese college reveals that prior innovative experiences foster a psychological flow state, which subsequently influences their entrepreneurship. These findings deepen understanding of the key drivers of entrepreneurial motivation among college students, expand research on flow’s role in entrepreneurship, and offer practical insights for enhancing entrepreneurship education.
