I would also like to express special thanks to the keynote and invited speakers: Prof. Shinichi Yonekura (Shinshu University, Japan), Dr. Carolyn Fitzsimmons (University of Alberta, Canada), Prof. Kusmartono (Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia), Prof. A. K. Thiruvenkadan (Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, India), Dr. Norsida Man (Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia), Prof. Sejong Oh (Chonnam National University, South Korea), Prof. R. Rajendran (Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, India), Prof. Vu Dinh Ton (Vietnam National University of Agriculture, Vietnam), Prof. Dr. Abdul Salam Babji (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Malaysia), and Dr. Rugang Tian (Inner Mongolia Academy of Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Sciences, China). The ICESAI is an annual international conference held by the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia, aimed to promote mutual exchange between scientists and experts worldwidely to share their research advancements and critical ideas in animal industry. Following the success of the event last year, this year topic is “Developing Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Animal Industry Through Smart Farming System.” The scope in this conference includes Local Animal Resources, Sustainable Animal Production Systems, Feed Resources and Technology for Animal, Animal Products and Sustainable Post-HarvestTechnology, Socio-Economic Studies and Community Development, as well as IOT for Animal Industry. This seminar is attended by various researchers and experts from various countries, such as Japan, Canada, India, Malaysia, South Korea, Vietnam, China, and of course Indonesia. Without the generous support from the Rector of Universitas Brawijaya and the Dean of Faculty of Animal Science, this conference would not have been possible at this scale. Additional thanks to the 3rd ICESAI committee for their hard work to prepare this conference. My final thanks to all the authors who, with their presentation and posters, generously contributed in this conference. October 2022
