- Abstract
This quantitative study aims to analyze pre-service teachers’ perceptions of moral values and character education presented in the animated film Tian-tian episode Merawat Ibu. A survey was conducted involving 45 early childhood education students from universities in Yogyakarta. Participants watched the film and completed a structured questionnaire to identify the dominant moral values they perceived. The results revealed that the values of love, responsibility, empathy, and respect for parents were most frequently recognized. The findings indicate that the Tian-tian film effectively conveys essential moral lessons suitable for character education in early childhood settings. This study suggests that animated films like Tian-tian can be valuable media tools for supporting moral development and character formation in education. Recommendations for strengthening other moral values such as honesty and cooperation in future media content are discussed.
