Abstract

This thesis examines the feasibility and inventiveness of combining acupoint health-preserving treatment with jewelry design in traditional Chinese medicine from an interdisciplinary perspective. By integrating ergonomics, aesthetics, and TCM acupoints, this thesis creates conceptual jewelry that embodies the three and reflects the harmony of jewelry design, and brings it to life. Under the principle of people-oriented philosophy, through an examination of jewelry design and traditional Chinese medicine’s acupoint theory concepts, the optimal matching of body acupoints to t he health preservation needs of contemporary young people is investigated and studied in order to expand the possibilities of contemporary health preservation jewelry, broaden the range of jewelry design and the methods of interdisciplinary innovative design, and transform health preservation jewelry into an auxiliary medical product with an aesthetic sense and utility. Promoting cross-domain functional design innovation in the area of jewelry design in China and generate far- reaching societal significance and commercial value.
