Abstract

Based on summary and analysis of research results for RC frame structure retrofitted by FRP, the significance and necessity of elasto-plastic time history analysis was pointed out. Some key issues of elasto-plastic analysis using ABAQUS for RC frame structure retrofitted by FRP were discussed in the following aspects: the selection of modeling method and element type, restoring force model, and the definitions of steps and load, etc. Then several feasible suggestions were put forward.
