Abstract

The construction of spatial vitality in urban school districts is one of the important goals of contemporary Beijing urban design and can be clearly and deconstructed analysed with quantitative methods. This paper presents a technique aimed to assist in planning and evaluating spatial morphology of urban school district in a metropolitan area by applying space syntax configurational approach. This cognition is of great significance to promote the urban design of the school districts from experience integration to scientific analysis, so as to more efficiently achieve the improvement of urban school district environment quality.
