Abstract

After analyzing the superiority and the deficiency of K-means clustering algorithm, the author put forwards the IDS based on the 2-SVM, according to the research achievement on SVM in the field of IDS. The result shows that this algorithm can avoid the problem of decreasing detection rate by local optimum while using the K-means clustering algorithm alone.
