Abstract

This paper presents the analysis of a cantilevered beam using both the commercial FEA software Abaqus and FEMCAS a new software developed for structural analysis. The theoretical approach is described. The results from FEMCAS were comparable with theoretical calculation as well as with Abaqus which shows good accuracy of the solver.
