- Abstract
Bardion Action Figure is a local action figure produced in limited quantities by Dolanankeren and is the first physical representation of a local tokusatsu character integrated with a local technology product called Bardi. This study aims to analyze the Bardion action figure specifically from various perspectives ranging from design including character design, product design, and ergonomic considerations that exist in the design process. By using various design analysis approaches that include visual elements, design principles, ergonomic studies, and visual cultural contexts such as tokusatsu, this study will reveal how the design decisions in the Bardion figure not only function aesthetically, but can also reflect the identity of the local hero, technological adaptation, and product positioning strategies in the collector market. The analysis will show that Bardion successfully integrates design elements that exist in classic tokusatsu characters such as iconic silhouettes and armor details with the products it represents, making it an important case study in the development of Indonesian action figure design.
