The method used in this research is empirical sociological. The conclusion in this study is that the process of dividing inheritance in the Jalawastu indigenous community uses Jalawastu customary rules led by local traditional leaders and assisted by village officials. If problems arise in the distribution of inheritance, the inheritance dispute will be resolved by the Jalawastu customary leader with the assistance of village officials by conducting deliberations.
