Intercultural communication competence serves as an essential part of one's language competence. In order to improve students' intercultural competence, things can be done in the following four aspects: renewing teachers' education philosophies, compiling and selection of appropriate textbooks, wide use of multi-media devices and introduction of intercultural practices and activities.
