Proceedings of the 2013 International Conference on Advances in Intelligent Systems in Bioinformatics

The 2013 International Conference on Advances in Intelligent Systems in Bioinformatics, Chem-Informatics, Business Intelligence, Social Media and Cybernetics (IntelSys) was held succesfully at the Gran Meliá Hotel, Jakarta, Indonesia, on 11 October 2013.

The theme of the IntelSys 2013 is Intelligent System for Quality of Life and Sustainable Development. This forum is an opportunity for scientists from all over the world to share ideas and achievements in the theory and practice of intelligent control, artificial intelligence, decision support systems, neural networks, soft computing, data mining and knowledge discovery, ontologies, machine learning, intelligent measurement, etc. Presentations should highlight contemporary intelligent systems as a concept that combines theoretical research and applications in automation, information technologies and measurement. All aspects of intelligent systems are of interest: theory, algorithms, tools, applications, etc.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all in the Technical Program Committee who have reviewed the papers and developed a very interesting Conference Program as well as the invited and plenary speakers.

This year, we received 46 papers and after rigorous review, 15 papers were accepted for IntelSys 2013.

The participants come from five countries for IntelSys 2013. There is one Plenary Sessions and one invited Speaker for each IntelSys 2013.

It is an honour to publish the IntelSys 2013 in Atlantis Press and we deeply thank the authors for their enthusiastic and high-grade contributions.

Finally, we would like to thank the conference chairmen, the members of the steering committee, the organizing committee, the organizing secretariat and the financial support from the conference sponsors that allowed the success of IntelSys 2013.
