Abstract

Extension activities regarding independent feed production are certainly very much need-ed by aquaculture business actors because feed is one of the important factors in support-ing the development of a shrimp farming business. This study aims to improve the knowledge, attitudes and skills of the main actors in independent feed production. This study was conducted on January 6 - March 23, 2025 in Bontoa District. The methods used in this study were surveys, observations and demonstrations. The data used were primary and secondary data. The tool used in data collection was a questionnaire. The number of targets in the extension activities was 17 target members of the fisheries group. Data anal-ysis used descriptive and Likert scale. The results of this study indicate that there was an increase in the knowledge aspect by 33%, the attitude aspect from 57% to 90% with the criteria of strongly agree and an increase in the skill aspect by 37%. In the implementation of the adoption of independent feed production extension innovations, there was 1 target adopting, 1 target trying, 3 targets assessing, 7 targets interested and 5 targets at the aware-ness stage. This study concludes that extension activities regarding independent feed pro-duction are very beneficial because of the access to information and the application of technology so that they can increase the production results of fishery business actors.
