Website: https://isffs-mii.com/ On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my great honour to welcome all participants to the 3rd International Seminar on Fish and Fisheries Science in Indonesia 2025 (the 3rd ISFFS 2025), held in Yogyakarta on 10 June 2025. This international seminar commemorates the 25th anniversary of Indonesian Ichthyological Society (MII), celebrating 25 years of pioneering contributions to fish and fisheries sciences, research, and innovation in Indonesia. Over the past decade, the Indonesian Ichthyological Society (MII) has significantly advanced knowledge in the field of fish and fisheries resources, and played a crucial role in understanding and sustainably managing Indonesian aquatic ecosystems and fisheries resources. This milestone offers an opportunity to reflect on past achievements, identify future directions, and strengthen collaborative networks for the benefit of global fish and fisheries science research. A particular highlight of the 3rd ISFFS 2025 was the participation of renowned plenary speakers from some of the world’s leading universities and research institutions, who will share cutting-edge scientific insights and global perspectives on the most pressing topics in the Fish and Fisheries Science. Their presence not only enriches the academic content of the conference but also underscores Indonesia’s growing engagement in the international scientific community. The 3rd ISFFS 2025 brings together leading scientists, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to share their latest findings, foster interdisciplinary collaborations, and explore innovative solutions to current and emerging challenges in Fish and Fisheries Science. The program includes plenary speakers, keynote lectures, invited talks, and oral and poster presentations that reflect the diversity and depth of modern Fish and Fisheries Science research. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our distinguished plenary speakers, keynote speakers, invited speakers, and all contributors whose insights and expertise enrich the scientific dialogue of this seminar. Special thanks are also due to the organizing and scientific committee members for their dedication and tireless efforts in making this event possible. It is our sincere hope that the proceedings of 3rd ISFFS 2025 that will be published in Advances in Biological Sciences Research (Atlantis Press, Part of Springer Nature) will serve as a valuable resource for researchers and will inspire future collaborations and breakthroughs in Fish and Fisheries Science for many years to come.
