In the 21st century, the study of migration processes is becoming an area of increased attention and intersection of scientific interests of economists and sociologists. The main reasons for migration: economic, political and cultural-religious. Educational migration of young people may negatively affect regional labor markets in the future. The migration of the young population depends on traditional factors, within the region and between the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as on specific factors that influence decision-making on the choice of place of residence. The migration outflow of the young population against the background of depopulation has an impact on the socio-economic state and development of the regions.
