Website: https://www.isttca.com/ The 2026 9th International Symposium on Traffic Transportation and Civil Architecture (ISTTCA 2026) was held in Dalian, China, from April 10 to 12, 2026. The conference was co-sponsored by the China Highway Construction Association, the Shipping Management Committee of China Institute of Navigation, and the Tianjin Water Transport Engineering Society. It was co-organized by multiple industry institutions and universities, with the support of numerous universities and research institutes including Wuhan University, Tianjin University, Southeast University, and Chang'an University. The conference academic committee, comprising leading experts and scholars in relevant fields, including researchers from India, Pakistan, Malaysia, and other countries, ensured the academic rigor and international reach of the event. Focusing on a range of related fields including geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, intelligent transportation, and advanced materials, the conference aimed to build a platform for in-depth integration across government, industry, academia, research, and application, and to advance the global frontiers of relevant technologies. This proceedings volume compiles outstanding academic contributions selected through rigorous peer review. Closely aligned with industry needs and academic frontiers, the selected papers feature strong interdisciplinary characteristics. Studies on the shear evolution behavior of sandstone-concrete interfaces under freeze-thaw cycles, seepage patterns of modified clay slopes under wet-dry cycles, and ecological restoration of coal gangue slopes offer novel approaches to stability control in geotechnical engineering in complex environments. Research covering multi-agent traffic trajectory prediction, multi-objective optimization of electric bus scheduling, information frameworks for intelligent arterial highway operation, and BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS)-enabled multi-dimensional slope monitoring reflects the trend toward digital and intelligent transformation of transportation infrastructure. Work on topics including lateral seismic performance of bridge piers, damage characteristics of bridge piers under underwater explosion loads, mechanical properties of reactive powder concrete (RPC)-filled steel tubular columns, EPS lightweight thermal insulation grouting materials, and durability of cement-based materials against sulfate attack combines profound theoretical depth with practical engineering value. In addition, applied engineering studies on topics such as 3D intelligent milling construction technology, hydration heat regulation of mass concrete, and impact analysis of pile foundations for high-pile wharves provide practical technical references for on-site construction, operation and maintenance management. Technological innovation is the core driving force for high-quality development in the transportation and civil architecture sector. It is our hope that the publication of this proceedings volume will serve as a valuable academic reference for researchers and engineering practitioners in relevant fields, and facilitate the transfer of knowledge and dissemination of research findings.
