Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to develop and test an integrated model to examine the relationship between internal social capital, knowledge creation, core competence and firm performance. It takes into account the moderating role of product modularity and explains how a firm’s internal social capital to recognize the value of knowledge creation, assimilate core competence and in turn facilitate financial performance.
